The Hilton Salt Lake City Center is centrally located to some of the best dining Salt Lake City has to offer. There are dozens of places to eat within about a one-block walk; more if you wish to venture out a bit. Full information will be included in your syllabus. Here are the highlights:
Starbucks: This little treasure is tucked inside the entrance to the Trofi Restaurant. They offer beverages, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and a limited selected of sandwiches and soup until 4:00 pm daily.
NEW: The Hilton is offering a Starbucks breakfast package - five mornings, Monday through Friday, for $9/day tax and tip inclusive (5-day package $45). Includes choice of one bread and one drink. You may pre-purchase this by updating your SLIG registration here.
Lunch Kiosk: SPECIAL during SLIG Week only. Hilton lunch kiosk will offer grab and go soup, salad, and sandwiches. Participants may eat in SLIG Central if they wish.
Trofi Restaurant: Order from the menu or enjoy a hot breakfast buffet with omelets and waffles made to order. Trofi is open for both breakfast and lunch.

Fine Dining in the Hilton: Hilton is home to Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops. Voted “Best Steakhouse” for eight consecutive years, a USDA Spencer’s steak is a mouth-watering experience. Also awarded best “Wine List.”
Spencer’s Bar: The gathering place for a casual drink while staying at the Hilton. Located in the front of Spencer’s restaurant.
Special Dietary Needs: The Hilton offers Gluten Free options at all three dining facilities - Trofi, Spencer's and Starbucks.
Hilton Honors Benefits: (only valid if staying at the Hilton obviously) Gold level members receive a complimentary breakfast at Trofi or Starbucks, which may be upgraded for a small fee for the buffet (or alternately may choose extra points). They may also elect to pay to upgrade to the executive level with concierge lounge access, where a small hot/continental breakfast is served. Diamond members are provided with executive level privileges (concierge lounge access).
Nearby: The Hilton is within a short walking distance of a variety of restaurants, including the Olive Garden, Inferno Cantina, Red Rock Brewing Company, PF Chang’s, Benihana, Market Street Grill, J Wong's Asian Bistro, Siegfried's Delicatessen, and Squatter’s Pub, just to mention a few. You will find everything from sushi to cheesesteaks within a two-block walk.
A Bit Beyond: If you are feeling more adventurous, City Creek Center and The Gateway both offer a wide variety of restaurants as well as a food court. Inside or near the Family History Library: Just need a quick bite to eat between your lab and your research? The FHL has a small vending area on the first floor of the library (if not blocked by construction which is expected this year); it offers a variety of frozen and packaged foods. You may also eat at the Church Office Building (two blocks east of the FHL) during lunch; first obtain a visitor pass from the FHL desk.
