The Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) continues to reach out to advanced, experienced teaching professionals in the genealogical community for new content and proposals annually.
Deadline: August 1, 2018
SLIG will hold its fifth annual SLIG Colloquium on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. This invitational event brings together thought leaders of the industry to present and discuss key genealogical topics - the big picture or theoretical underpinnings of what we do - in an effort to create a greater understanding of the tenets of genealogy.
Papers will be presented and discussed by a panel of experts, then opened to discussion by those attending. Proceedings will be printed in the Spring issue of Crossroads for all UGA members to read and enjoy. Attendance includes SLIG faculty, advisory committee, leaders from national and regional organizations, and the industry in general.
Timeline: Abstracts may be submitted for consideration anytime prior to August 1, 2018. Notification will be made by September 5, 2018. Panelists should be confirmed by October 1, 2018, and papers submitted for assembly by December 14, 2018. Final papers for publication in Crossroads are due March 1, 2019. There is no compensation for Colloquium paper presentations.
Please submit your abstract by August 1, 2018 using the form below.
