Registration Information

When does registration open?

Registration opens Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 12:00 pm.

When does registration close?

Registration closes on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.

How much does it cost to register?

What is included in the registration fee?

The registration fee includes a digital syllabus, link to watch the program live, and access to the recordings through December 31, 2020.

How do I Register?

Please set up a UGA registration account at registration.ugagenealogy.org. Please answer all questions, even if not applicable; the account is shared with other UGA programs. Please click on the verification link sent to you via email to complete account set-up.

Once registration is open, please return to registration.ugagenealogy.org and click on the green “register now” button by the “Summit of Excellence” program icon.

If I am a member of UGA, how do I receive my discount?

When you set up your registration account, please make sure you utilize the same email that you use for your UGA membership account and that your membership is current. The discount will then be automatically applied at the time of registration.

If you feel a discount was not applied in error, please contact the registrar.

How do I pay for my registration?

You may use the link provided at the time of registration to pay via PayPal utilizing a credit card. A PayPal account is not required, but if you have one, you may also utilize the bank draft option.

You may also send a check made payable to “Utah Genealogical Association” and mailed to PO Box 1144, Salt Lake City, UT 84110. Checks must be received within 14 days of registration and no later than August 22nd, 2020—whichever comes first.

At any point in time, you may also log into your UGA registration account to view and pay your invoice using the PayPal link.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received by 11:59 p.m., on Saturday, August 22, 2020, will receive a full refund less a $20 administrative fee. After that date, no refund will be provided. Electronic syllabus and virtual access will be provided for the full conference period.

Program Access

Will the presentations be closed captioned?

Immediately following the Summit, closed captioning will be applied. The process takes about two weeks, after which the close captioned recordings will be made available.

How do I login for the Summit?

Login information will be sent to you one week prior to the conference. Please make sure the email addresses registrar@ugagenealogy.org and conferences@ugagenealogy.org are on your safe senders list.

As a registered attendee, you may login 20 minutes before the broadcast begins. The Summit Host will open the virtual classroom door 5 minutes before the broadcast begins.

The same access link will be used for the entire day of presentations. You may come and go as you desire.

How do I access the syllabus?

Links to access the syllabi will be emailed with login information one week prior to the conference.

How do I access the recordings?

Links will be sent to all participants via the email provided in your registration account after closed captioning is completed, approximately two weeks following the Summit.

Access will end on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 11:59pm MT.

There is no limit to the number of times you may watch each recording.

We ask that you honor the agreement made when you registered for the Summit of Excellence. Do not share the link to the recordings or syllabus with others.
